Both articles I posted to you leave a lot of doubt as to the quality/honesty of Bush's behavior during his Harken dealings

That simply isn't true. If you understood the fundamentals of accounting, you would not be making these accusations. The fact that you ARE making the accusations just clearly demonstrates that you know absolutely nothing about financial accounting.

The issue of insider trading has little to do with accounting. The issue of not submitting SEC documentation in accordance with the law has little to do with accounting. The issue of granting low interest loans the son of the president if the United States in order to court favor has nothing to do with accounting. Those are the big issues for me, and not accounting.

The issue currently around Cheney does have to do with accounting, and I don't consider that to be very significant.......I understand that the dispute centers over the use of two different accounting approaches and which was the more appropriate one to use in HAL's case.

However, what I do believe is that we are looking at the tip of a Cheney iceberg, and if I am correct, much worse things will come to light.

So please don't tell me my accounting ignorance is somehow clouding my judgement. I assure you it is not.
