My wife made a commitment to her professional association chapter, on whose board she serves, to do some things on Tuesday for it. Unnoticed by us, the clock we were relying on, the first unpacked, had its battery run down, and suddenly we noticed, on the cable tv, the actual time. She was running late. So I made a mad dash to downtown DC to drop her where she needed to go, then made my way back home. It turned out that everything was running late where she had to be, so we needn't have panicked. Reminded me of a plane trip---- the plane from Reagan National took off late, and therefore we rushed the international terminal in Philadelphia (USAir hub) for the flight to Paris. I was winded and exhausted by the time we arrived. Ten minutes later they decided to delay the flight to Paris......
