They did the war in Kosovo under the auspices of the UN.

Thus, not one single nation was held accountable even though we played a big role.
The UN is not sovereign over the world. If countries have a right to intervene as part of a UN force they have just as much right to do so unilaterally.

Even if you are a stickler for UN rules, the UN allows for countries waging war if they are attacked.


Tim, the UN is not sovereign over all nations, but it was in the lead. Clinton always made it appear the UN was in the lead. Its an added hassle getting UN cooperation, but it provided an umbrella behind which we could hide should there be problems. It helped to deflect some of the negative comments.
