Hedge funds rotating hot money to tech, more than likely...although I'm sure alot of folks wanna blame the PPT for this, too. I think the PPT focuses on the futures, though some of their operative like JPM may have whacked the golds for their own purposes, or funded hedgers to do it for 'em...

Either way, I was a bit light going in in event of a (ha ha) bounce. I covered some of my short Anglogold hedge, and bought a bit more HGMCY at the close. Nothing's changed fundamentally, except that the dollar is weaker...

Joan, I'm buying AU and ASA August calls. I expect good earnings. The lower they go the more calls I'm going to buy.
