Speaking of simple, anyone see Egg on PBS tonite? About three photographers. First segment was on Jeanine Pohlhaus, who documented her parents in b&w 35mm, during a time when her father was dealing with clinical depression. Simple, very powerful images! Second segment was quite the reverse. Gregory Crewdson uses large format color and enlists an entire community for his fantasy set-ups. Third segment was about Joseph Rodriguez, who once a criminal now makes partly documentary partly arranged photos of people he befriends on the edges of our society.
