Thanks, Mad2. I don't get to Chicago much, more often NY, where I rent from Lens & Repro:

The digital Leica does nothing for me, can't see myself owning it. But I got to play with NY Times live entertainment photographer Sara Krulwich's Canon EOS 1-D not too long ago, when we both covered the same play, Twelfth Night in Central Park, and was completely blown away by it. Everything I could possibly want, unfortunately twice the max price I'm willing to spend. Sara talked me out of getting the Canon D-60 because of the 1/10 sec. shutter lag. Next time we shot together for Harlem Song at the Apollo, the D-1 capabilities once again blew me away. If there is a shutter lag, I can't detect it, and neither can she. A burst of three shots captured perfect stills around the peak of a dancer's jump for example: just before, the top, just after. I reloaded a dozen times, her memory card never ran out of space. Unbelievable instrument!
