Scumbria, You are dead right and you speak for all of us. Jewish people have contributed as much or more to civilization than any other group I can think of.

Hateful ideas espoused by Emile and others regarding Jews simply have no place anywhere in civilized society. Not in the Republican Party, not in the RWE party, not in the Green Party, not in the Democratic Party, not in the Libertarian Party and no place else. What ever redeeming qualities they have on other issues are completely eclipsed by the hate in their hearts.

I've known relatively few Jews, and the ones that I've met in the western states always surprise me because they are so like me and others I know. I met quite a few when I worked in New York because a lot of them were property owners who owned forest land, that they earned the rights to.

I once walked up a street in Long Branch New Jersey with my sister and her husband. An old man motioned to us and called us to his door step. He had something to show us, he said. We went inside. His house was like a Holocaust Museum, I kid you not. Photographs of every horrifying description on display so we could see what the Jews had endured during the War. So I won't listen to anyone who denies the Holocaust. I've seen it with my own eyes, in those pictures.

Another time in Lake Placid New York I struck up a conversation over a beer in my favorite watering hole (I'll bet it's still there). My new buddy immediately made known that he was Jewish, and that Jews dominated the arts, the legal profession, and the medical profession. It began to annoy me, his attitude. I thought he was a stuffed shirt. That's the worst Jew I've ever known.

My father was raised as a Southern Baptist and by rights should have been a Jew hater. He never taught me to hate Jews, and I don't. I don't hate Muslims either, except Osama bin Laden, and I don't hate that he's a Muslim. I hate him personally as an evil doer.

What possible good does hatred contribute to the world. Just tell me one thing! Just one!
