OK. I looked at the actual EPS Contest Rules and they are as follows:

AMD
(2) AMD earnings are pro-forma and before one-time charges and the same basis will be used in the contest.

Intel
(2) Intel earnings are pre-acquisition costs and the same basis will be used in the contest.

If Intel takes one-time charges they will not be considered for the purpose of determining the EPS result for the contest scoring. Next quarter's contest rules should reflect this addition.

I assumed that the EPS number was the most optimistic number Intel releases. I believe I also gave a GAAP number, but I wasn't anticipating a charge for layoffs, only writedowns of assets. There will probably be both.
