CNBC -- well I'm fortunate to have a day job so that I feel no need to have it on 8 hours per day.

But the past 2 years, over the holidays, I almost found myself screaming at them for repeating false propaganda over and over again.

In early 2001, it was "Stocks ALWAYS rise 6 months after the Fed starts cutting rates". As time went on, this mantra kept changing in a fashion oddly similar to "Animal Farm".

In late 2001, they kept repeating the phrase "January Effect" in December -- this after the NASDAQ had already rebounded 40% in 3 months. The 2002 January effect lasted about 1 week.

Those are just 2 examples. There are probably many others. But the big question is: "Who is telling them to say this crap ?" It is so obvious that they are controlled by Wall St. that it is really sad.
