Bingo

Two year vesting terms should be outlawed for CEOs, since they're in the pocket of the board. That would nail the fly-by CEOs looking for a quick flip.

But Boards ought to get a handle on more than just terms. Why do some boards get so attracted into hiring these big greedy, spender types? Answer: boards are gullible to charisma. Unfortunately, some people can be attracted to the image that money buys.

While I may complain a bit about Intel's spending being out of line with its revenue, they do have a culture of frugality and aren't gullible to charisma. Wish the same could be said of all companies.
