Greenspan: Trust must be restored

Greenspan said that the impact of stock options has reversed and is now making corporate profits look worse than they really are because officers and employees are demanding cash compensation instead of stock options, which makes it look as if expenses are rising.

"It is not that humans have become any more greedy than in generations past," Greenspan said. "It is that the avenues to express greed had grown so enormously."
