What Porter Stansberry says is incredibly true, yet his comments have had little impact on MXIM thus far:

Indeed, if stock options are not compensation expense, what are they? Yet, most corporate boards are hand-picked by the same CEO's they are supposed to monitor, so we can expect continued lax treatment by the "Compensation Committees" of most corporations.

The U.S. Senate needs to change the focus from enacting new laws to tightening existing regulations -- such as advance reporting of stock sales by officers, directors and insiders.
