I have ask you, X -- How is that "innocent children" of 5, or 7, or 10 years old -- get to be athiests or secularists?

I'm Karen. X and I are two quite different people. She's taller than I am.

Little kids get to be atheists or secularists or simply secular the same way little kids get to be Christians or Muslims. Parents get to raise their kids in whatever religious tradition they choose. We Americans respect that, at least officially and in polite company. I'm surprised you would ask that question.

As far as this particular case, this particular atheist, and this particular daughter are concerned, I agree that the case should not have been brought, at least not at this time. I've said that before. There's nothing ideal about this scenario at all. But that doesn't have anything to do with the way exposure to contradictory traditions in the classroom affects sensitive kids. They're too young to have to stand up for their traditions, which they are probably not capable of even understanding. It's too much pressure and too potentially destructive for an insufficiently good purpose.

it is the right of every parent to brainwash their kid any way they want as regards religion or the absence thereof

that right does not belong to the state
