I believe it's something like 'dissection and cutterage.'

Informally referred to in very 'hush hush' whispers at the time as 'scraping the womb.'

I remember overhearing my mother and her friends gossiping about 'so-and-so' had a "D&C," with some sort of element of shame in the tone of the conversation ... like, 'so-and-so' was somehow 'inferior' to carry a fetus to term, or some such nonsense.

I would be somewhat interested to know if this 'procedure' still 'exists,' and if so, what it's now called, and most importantly, if it is a procedure generally included in major health care insurer's plans.

As is prescription Viagra, I understand. But not birth control pills.

Notably, I don't believe any real MDs waste their time posting on this thread.

Otherwise, we could be provided with factual information.
