("Global" or the "Company"), announced the appointment of Peter Garrett as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Company effectively immediately. "Global has significant managerial and technical depth within the organization, and we are pleased to announce that Peter Garrett has been appointed as President and CEO," commented Robert Snyder, the Company's Chairman. Peter Garrett was previously the Company's Chief Operating Officer, having joined Global in November of 2001. Prior to Global, Mr. Garrett was Vice President of Wireless Access Development for Nortel Networks, where he served as executive leader of an organization of 1,200 hardware, software and system designers and architects.
