Math, English, science, the prevailing view of history, possibly art, social etiquette and regimentation, music if the kids are lucky. I think those are the subjects in the standards. And lets face it, we don't teach kids with the Socratic method. We expect them to learn what we teach them. We drill drill drill.

I personally am trying to brainwash a group of children into thinking that reading is FUN FUN FUN. And that they can DO DO DO it.
