Good for you. It's amazing to me how many teachers today have no comprehension of the balance of rights and responsibilities, and their obligation to teach that to children. There is so much emphasis on the rights that Americans have, but less and less, I find, on the responsibilities. This dissonance between rights and responsibilities has been responsible for the decline of more than one society; I fear it may be the same with us if we aren't careful in how we raise our children.
