<<If Bush had asked for the death penalty for corporate financial terrorists the market would have rallied about 500 points.>>

If you're looking to trade for nooses, there are a whole mess of Democrats who should see the end of the rope first. Let's start with the greatest criminal of our time: Let's see the Justice Department charge and convict William the Bastard. He, after all, CAUSED ALL THIS!...

Dear Jerome: Actually, it was THE MEDIA that billed it as a major policy speech. The White House CLEARLY said it was a THEME speech designed to SET THE TONE for the upcoming laws expected to be enacted. I think he did EXACTLY THAT. Now, as to your suggestion, I would not go so far as to suggest the Death Penalty but I would like to see executives from GBLX, WCOM, ENRON and perhaps a few others spend AT LEAST 10 years in FEDERAL PRISON AND their ILLGOTTEN GAINS confiscated REGARDLESS of what laws they use to try and protect them. I would like to see Bush sign an EXECTIVE order confiscating those assets IMMEDIATELY to be held IN TRUST pending a trial. Will he do it? Naw, I doubt it, but THAT would restore MY confidence and I believe scare the Bjesus out of the rest of these assholes stealing our money. JDN
