This source confirms that the C5 can, officially at least, carry 2 M1's. afrcrequirements.wpafb.af.mil .

I wonder about that a little, though. The story that I remember from the Yom Kippur war airlift is that exactly one (1) tank was delivered, as a sort of proof of principle.
