Most people on SI use aliases. I think there are good reasons for doing this if you ever argue with crackpots. Who wants their family to be exposed to crank calls from loonies. Besides posting under a name, real or fake, doesn't prove anything about yourself. If I posted under George Goodman or Charley Knupp or Joshua Cruse or Frank Poole what difference would it make - you wouldn't know if it was my real name. Although I think Emile Vidrine is your real name because of the newpaper articles which mention someone who sounds like you, I don't really know that. Your real name might be Abdul Aziz or Homer Simpson for all I know for sure (or care).
