A middle east primer for liberals (part 1) 1. On Sept. 11, 2001 15 Saudis attacked the United States, stimulated of their extreme anger over the US having saved them from being destroyed by Iraq ten years earlier. This unthinking act by the US deprived the Saudi people of early martyrdom. In a show of their mercy, the Saudis recently allowed 200 school girls to burn to death, thereby guaranteeing the girls their 52 virgins in heaven. 2. In order to show their longing for peace, the Palestinians blew up an Israeli bus yesterday morning while the world leaders gathered in New York to discuss Palestinian statehood. This same scene of appreciation has been displayed by the Palestinians the last few dozen times that peace talks have convened. 3. Two years ago Nobel Peace Prize winner Yasser Arafat rejected the Israeli offer for land and peace, and declared a war of terrorism to obtain land and peace. The reaction to the recent Bush peace proposal was equally as intelligent. "Bush isn't talking about me" 4. In their great mercy, the Arabs protect their women from the burden of education and political decision making. 5. In order to show their love of capitalism and Democracy, the Arabs aligned themselves with the Soviets throughout the cold war. Liberals should be righteously indignant that Israel destroyed that Iraqi nuclear reactor, and all those Russian made warplanes at the Cairo airport in 1967.
