Whatever happens, don't worry about Ashcroft seizing the moment - he doesn't have the leadership thing.

In wondering what Osama might do to follow up 9/11, I speculated that he might sow max fear by blowing up a hundred little things - just to show us we're not safe anywhere.

The reaction, IMO, would be extreme. There would be internal disagreement. It would be snuffed. Violently.

Frankly, the U.S. has acted with great restraint in the wake of 9/11.
