Biggest thing is the higher highs on higher volume. The middle tine of the pitchfork serves as a convenient way to
gauge resistance... If it clearly breaks through that medium tine, a very bullish indicator and likely breakout.
I use TA just as another tool to help reduce risk. Today, the price moved up above the middle tine, but is now faltering. It will be end of day before I get a clear idea of whether it has topped for now. There are obviously buyers coming into CREE, but to me, the other much bigger factor is the national business/political climate which is as bad as I've seen in years. That's why I am still mostly day trading rather than holding much of anything overnight.
Have a core holding of CREE back from split-adjusted about four bucks a share, however. Obviously I think its long term prospects are great.. :)
