Slider, where is the bottom in Elpaso (EP)?

Is this an opportunity to buy some very good utilities that pay 5 to 6 % dividends or is it the end of any utility or energy company ever being allowed to make a profit <g>. I quess all these new houses being built will run on solar power and we won't need untilites <g>.

EP and DUK are almost monopoly's that don't face a lot of competition. This used to be a positive.

Does anybody know what the average dividend yield has been on utilites the last 5 or 10 years? A quess would be welcomed.
