As far as my "task", it's this: full disclosure in realtime of all government budgets, actions, programs and people, with the only exception of bona-fide military secrets of where there are very few.

If this is what you're driving at then we're together. "The military complex" needs close scrutiny. However the post I responded to in no way furthers your and my agenda and is silly propaganda.

I don't think Hitler, or Conservatives for that matter, would agree.

Though there are many who are conservative who are tied into the military machine economically, there is nothing "conservative" in an economic sense that compels one to follow lockstep with DOD BS. In fact, some/many? of their actions are antithetical to real conservatism. (economically speaking, of course.)

IOW, as a small "c" conservative, I believe we need a strong defense and I also believe it can be done better AND cheaper then it is currently being provided. "Republicans" may disagree but there are following "party", not principle.
It's like the abortion issue, while I think it is a bad thing, I find it REAL hard to turn over control of someones body to government.
