>> crb doin fine. got a view? <<

i can't predict the immediate future, but longer-term it is going much higher. stocks going lower. economy kind of slugging along. the crb is in the early stages of a decade long bull market. i think the economy is going to have i guess what they would call a double dip down and that might cause the crb to pull back some.

i just think buying commodities today is like buying stocks in 1981-1982. it really doesn't matter if you time it perfectly or get in a year early or late, just as long as you stick with it for the next decade.

now i suppose people are asking themselves, how come this guy isn't putting his money where his mouth is and telling us about all these commodities he is buying? well that is because i guess i am lazy, and have gotten in the habit of trading stocks, and have much to learn about commodities. i think i have done quite well shorting stocks (which is what i feel most comfortable doing) rather than sticking my toe in the water with commodities.

my basic views have not changed however. stocks are going to severely underperform the next decade, and commodities or hard assets will outperform.

i do think that the markets are overdue for a rally (which will ultimately fail), and that it's not time to be too piggish on the short side right now. i expect a modest summer rally of some sort and then another leg down in the fall. nothing goes straight down.

hmm...i see copper is down to 73c
