Remember that no matter how interesting Xoma may seem, that unless they get products to market both they and you will run out of cash.

After tolerating the performance of Xoma for several years, it is easy to tolerate Cacaito.

Lance....just to let you know both George and Cacaito have been here for several years.
Both are truthful, taking into consideration
their negative/positive "spins". Neither
post intentionally misleading information,
nor do they post "cheerleading" type of perspectives.

It is rare on these boards for the pro and con
sides to carry on a decent debate....wrestling over complicated issues, terminology, etc.
Cacaito is especially important to this board
as our resident skeptic...especially with his knowledge and his willingness to share it. Their debates/arguments gives the rest of us a LOT of information and perspective we would not
have gotten otherwise.

Most boards are like the Yahoo board...full of loud cheerleaders and shorts, with very little knowledge of the company. And then of course
there is winston/snapple. This SI board was
a valuable resource for several years, though has become secondary as Yahoo has captured most
of the posting traffic. But Cacaito, George and Bluegreen still makes SI an important place to check for good discussions/information about XOMA.

About the BGEN thing. We never talked about BGEN until we became competitors in the psoriasis market. We are miffed because BGEN
is about a year ahead of XOMA...and shouldn't be.

BGEN's product will have safety problems that ours won't. And we were amazed that with its safety problems and its incredibly small
number of trial subjects that BGEN's product was approved by the FDA committee. We thought the
FDA would ask for more data...Cacaito thought
it would be approved and was right. It didn't help when a couple of BGEN pumpers then hit our
Yahoo board gloating about their victory...check out posts by gollywhatazoo. It is not a serious problem, just a couple of competitors hitting each other with wiffle bats.
