I think all brokerages allow shorting stocks below $5. You just need enough marginable equity in your account. Stocks held long priced below $5 usually don't contribute towards that marginable equity.

You and many others now that most stoX have lost 50 - 90 percent of their value.

Late comers usually get burnt and shorting may not be appropiate for those who have to ask the rules.

I see more and more unseasoned market participants looking to jump on the sell side.

I'm using that as a contrary indicator.

Be careful out there.
