Hey, there's quite a few people left who don't even have a computer yet. Yeah, hard to believe, I know. And, the mall traffic is quite a diverse cross section of windo-shoppers.

So, what is it that prompted the LOL? Is it hard to believe that people who don't own a Mac might go in the Mac store, or are you just getting a chuckle out the 60% in the store that do own one?

>>Steve Jobs interviewed on CNBC, he states many people bought Macs just to get the Ipod! He also states 40% of the people in their Apple stores don't own a MAC???

LOL!<<

Don -

I presume from your use of "LOL" above that you believe Steve's statements are not credible.

Is it so far-fetched to think that 40% of the people who walk into the stores don't own a Mac? I didn't hear the interview, but according to the way you quoted him, he didn't say that 40% of the buyers in the Apple stores didn't own a Mac.

Likewise, why is it not possible that "many" people bought Macs so they could have iPods? If a person were thinking about buying a computer, couldn't decide whether to get a Mac or a PC, and wanted an iPod, that person might well decide to get the Mac. Seems reasonable to me. Since you're not offering any data to contradict Mr. Jobs, you really don't have a leg to laugh on.
