That number is the money AMD gets back from income taxes paid during previous years.

I don't understand why they used a 40% rate, as I believe corporate tax rates top out at 35%. In any case I think it is a hypothetical number, because the actual operating loss of ($303M) will be used to offset taxable operating income in the past (or future) years.
