All of the founders did NOT hold the same views, on God or on anything else. The document was a compromise. The language was a compromise. All the founders signed because it was the best document they could come up with, doesn't mean they all agreed with every part of it. Means they wanted to go on to the nest step. There are always assumptions involved in everything. To deny that, is to deny reality.
