Mullin...the answer to your question:

Are people so blind that they can't see what kind of crooks they let handle their money?

YES YES YES

and it will continue year after year after year. B/c the big boys need money to play in the Hamptons and to satisfy their high maintenace girl friends and their own lavish lifestyles.

And Congress will not do much about it for the simple reason that the rich hang with the rich; and the rich support the rich.

Look at Bush and Cheney: calling for more legislation against corporate thievery.

And what did they do in their past - insider trading, balance sheet manipulations, etc.

Bush claims SEC found no wrong-doing in what he did or what Cheney did.

To which I say: no sh*t Sherlock. Kinda like interviewing for admittance to Harvard University, and the 3 interviewers are your dad, uncle, and grandma. Gee, you think you might get into Harvard?

Mom-and-pop investors, those that are left to play the markets, will continue to be fleeced.

What's so sad about these past 2 1/2 years is that a bunch of us folks got hurt so bad financially that they won't be able to play the market, even if they wanted to. You can't play if you got no money.

There was once a rap song that contained the following lyrics:

GOT NO MONEY

GOT NO CAR

GOT NO WOMAN

AND THERE YOU ARE.

Well...this basically describes a lot of folks who once played the markets.
