Ron, IMO we ALL have to be more diligent about knowing what is happening, and asking why.

The drug situation could be at least slowed down, and maybe even stopped IF we actually could and would, prosecute (not a slap on the wrist) those that are SELLING ANY illegal drugs...Starting with as high in the pecking order as possible. San Quentin seems to be empty. Good place for drug dealers...

Poverty can be helped by making sure people are trained for jobs, and that there are actual jobs by actual businesses for them. Government doesn't CREATE jobs nor does it CREATE money. Private industry does that. If the cost of business is so onerous that business can not make money, obviously it will go out of business, and there go jobs for people.

And I certainly agree that corrupt bureaucrats, and corrupt business owners, or management need to be "put out of business", and into prison. Worse yet, they could be sentenced to how many ever years a jail sentence was, and have to live like someone on a $20,000 salary for that period of time. Plus do public work at the same time...ie highway cleanup, etc.

What do you wan to bet there would be fewer Michael Milkins, Fastows, Ebbers, etc.....
