Well, until society wises up, and pays attention to the ultimate cause of MOST of the crimes and determines if the person was under the influence of alcohol or drugs...then we as a society will just have to continue paying the price. To me, it is like divorce. If 2 people agree not to live together any longer, and there are NO children involved...ok...if you and your religion/belief system say it's ok...it sure is ok with me. When there are children involved, it is entirely another matter. Then EVERY aspect of those individuals lives should be looked at carefully. Very carefully. Same with drugs....if someone wants to be stupid, both in actions on a daily basis, and in life, and harms ONLY him/her self...OK.... But then, that usually isn't the case is it? It's going to be more than interesting to me to see just how many of these people who have caused such havoc on Wall Street and in business have been involved in a serious way in either alcohol and/or drugs!!!!! What do you want to bet it is more than just a few.........?
