>>56% of product was sold outside the USA<< The high figure for foreign sales must be due in part to O.E.M. sales to manufacturers of cameras, PDA's, and other appliances using flash memory. Unfortunately, the drop in the value of the dollar relative to other currencies does not necessarily help SanDisk, since its principal manufacturing is now in Japan. However, I agree that sales in Europe and Japan could produce foreign exchange translation gains. It's just that manufacturing costs in Japanese yen would show up higher in dollars.
