I think there are a number of variables. I have a PC laptop, Mac laptop, and iMac (one of the new ones). The macs do seem to get better reception - i believe due to the larger antennae built into them. But i'm also seeing a pattern where older homes with plaster walls like mine and my brothers seem to be a problem whereas in newly constructed homes it works fine. I have no problem getting a signal on my Sprint phone anywhere in the house and i'm almost at the limit of coverage where i live.
