A limiting factor - Generally power, but with this technology, who knows. I'm sure power would be a factor, but the technology of concentrating the sound may result in radically different power requirements.

In typical audio, you need to double the power (watts) for each 3dB of additional volume. 6dB is considered a doubling of volume. (dB is a logarithmic scale)
