While the religious bigotry Callahan presented is repellent, that should not cause us to overlook another part of his message, which was that the voters should look to be represented by someone whose values are consonant with their own. If you delele the religious aspects, that position is causing me some thought.

Well...
he is ONLY following the guide of his church. It is a mortal sin to elect someone who is prochoice (or as MR Bigot would say "proabortion"). He comes by his bigotry honestly. And if enough bigots want to elect him, it is still a sort of free country. We've had lots of bigots in congress before, I'm sure there are a lot there now (although they probably try to keep it hidden)
, and there will very likely be many more in the future.

But I am ROFL thinking about your atheist angle.
