Bob,
just to be clear and perhaps help ease your mind...

I am not allowed to hold a financial position in the portfolio companies I manage. That means that I have to say "No Thanks" when offered friends and family shares leading up to an IPO while many other co-investors can say "Yes". I am also precluded from holding stakes in any Intel Capital portfolio company - that's over 500 companies.

There are occasions where someone will have some shares in one of these companies through an acquisition or inheritance or some other indirect route, but policy says that if that occurs, I have to make others here aware of the position and recuse myself of involvement with that company.

does that help?
