I looked at COF yesterday on the sector's crash. Passed on it in favor of PVN. And I did buy a little to add to my position.

I gave up on CDT and closed my position several months ago. Decided I would rather be in TLAB which seems to me to be stronger and will also, I presume, come back if the network business ever does. (I have an exploratory position in TLAB.)

I've seen CHKP recommended several times recently. I'll look at it a little closer now.

Jurgis, if you are still considering cof then look at puts. The options are very high priced because of extreme volatility of stock. A sell of August 30 puts gives you stock at about 27 in four weeks or 3 dollars in your pocket.
