KC - Matrox 450 is available in both PCI and AGP formats.
AFAIK the 550 only on AGP

550 is a DVI card which also can address analog displays: obvious choice if you have digital TFT displays.

If you were to work with 4 monitors or more, your choice would be the 450.

I have a 550, price/quality is all I need.
