I have a bumper sticker that says: They can have my analog camera when they pry my cold dead fingers off of it.

Seems you do not represent the majority. (g)

"After much hyperbole and several years of quite modest market growth, sales of digital still cameras have taken off. Digital-camera sales began to erode sales of traditional film cameras (excluding disposable, one-time-use cameras) in North America during 2000 and 2001, and such substitution will spread to Europe and Asia between 2002 and 2004. By 2006, worldwide unit sales of digital cameras will surpass those of traditional film cameras. Digital cameras will constitute two-thirds of the units that camera makers sell in 2010.

Although not yet in the same league as the 2001 runaway bestseller, the DVD video player, in sales volume or household penetration, growth of digital cameras has been substantial and promises to continue. Digital-camera worldwide sales will likely hit 25 million units in 2002 and surpass 80 million units in 2010. "

Do you remember our conversation a few weeks ago about digital backs for medium format cameras? I did a little checking on what was available for various cameras. WOW!! I'm going to need another stock market bubble before I move in that direction.

LOL! Indeed. Digital backs for medium format make perfect sense for studio professionals and Bill Gates type amateurs, but not for mere mortals like us. At the time I suggested you look into it I didn't know you are not a pro. Sorry I lead you down a garden path only to have you hit the brick wall at the end of it. (g)
