I agree. It just makes no sense to develop a new processor which derives most of its performance gains from its integrated memory controller and then switch it off and use an external controller. A Hammer with an external memory controller is nothing more than a beefed up Athlon with x86-64 and SSE2 (and some other minor additions). While nForce 2 is supposed to outperform current Athlon DDR chipsets by up to 10% an integrated memory solution will always outperform it unless it's very poorly designed.
