It is 43 cents excluding after tax charge on better than expected revenue. Market hasn't figured this out yet...

49 cents on higher than expected revenues.

made the same mistake i did at first... you clicked on the Q4 earnings at MSFT's website, and they (being MSFT) linked it to Q3 instead...... just another bug to get out of the system i guess....

i think they fixed it by now, so you can see what it really is....

this is a very simple but intelligent statement. in the midst of the worse downturn in tech spending in 20 years msft is holding up extremely well because of their monopoly position. like electric utilities and water companies they must be regulated to reflect real market and economic conditions.
