By all accounts, the Israelis went to tremendous lengths to avoid civilian casualties at Jenin

No, by all accounts from neutral observers, Israel was reckless.

The Israelis almost never bomb civilian areas

No, Israel always aims for civilians.

I take it that you do not lack the expertise to make military judgements. Therefore you are critical of those who bring those military actions with which you agree in disrepute.
Of course AI is attacked for making judgements about military actions around the world. The military doesn't like criticism. Why do you think the press doesn't have access to recent conflicts? It's because Viet Nam taught them that a critical press is anti-military when it breaks the rules as set down by the Geneva Convention, for example when children and civilians are killed or maimed.

Your argument is circular. It's also offensive. Any circular argument is also specious. Your argument is also specious.

By all accounts, the Israelis went to tremendous lengths to avoid civilian casualties at Jenin, and the IDF absorbed many casualties of their own.

So is that why they were so afraid to let UN observers in to survey the damage and human casualties?
