How about this as a rule?

When an employee is given options, company actually buys those shares in the market for X dollars and report it as an expense. If and when employee decides to exercise those options copule years later, he or she buys the shares from the company for X dollars, and that is reported as income by the company.

Why could we not keep it simple?

>>Is Friday the last day before option expiration for this month?<< Yes. At a time when there is at least some upward momentum on the price of QCOM shares, look for short selling and other devices by option writers to keep those July 30 calls out of the money.
