Craig,

There is absolutely no way on earth the events of the 1970s will be repeated today.

For starters, the Fed will not allow inflation to get out of hand and even if they fell asleep at the switch the interest rate and currency markets would take control.

Either way, inflation is not going to be tolerated on a scale witnessed in the 1970s. I can't think of any possible way we can get a commodity bull market without serious growth in the U.S. and the world. Fortunately, that is exactly what is on the way.
