HerbVic > Microsoft "needs" snappy new software releases

What or when was the last snappy " Must Have" new software program produced by anyone?

Software design is a niche area now, just like the Apple computer. The recent fact the Apple finally will make a Win IPod proves it can't make it on design alone. I bet there were a lot of internal debates about releasing the IPOD to the Win market and I bet Jobs was strongly against it. But in the end common sense prevailed. Which also proves no matter how much you might hate Intel/ Msft you have to sell to where the real market is.

Microsoft "needs" snappy new software releases a lot more often too.

To be precise, the word needs has two meanings: requires (necessity) and wants (desire).

I need (require) oxygen to survive and I need (want) a bigger house.

Apple needs (requires) snappy new products, Microsoft needs (wants) snappy new software releases.

my point (fear) is that if they need something that is beyond their reach, regardless of the justifiability of it's being beyond their reach, they are in trouble..
