ElM, Uncle Al does think about the Kiwi$ and economy, but only as part of the larger global picture. He has pointed out that he is managing a bigger game than just the US economy - he has to help maintain international financial stability and develop the US$ position within that financial system.

I have explained that the US$ is run by and for the benefit of the USA and the citizens and that is as it should be. That isn't to the detriment of the rest of the world any more than Toyota making cars to make profits for themselves is a detriment to the rest of the world. Yes, it's bad for competing car makers, but it's good for the rest of us who want cars.

Money seems to induce paranoia whereas other goods and services don't. Money is just another goods and services product, though of an arcane kind, which most people can't understand, other than superficially [including me].
