at this point the market has reached the condition of selling off almost anything no matter what the fundamentals, i.e. painting every stock with the same negative brush

at some point the market will go back to looking at individual stocks, hopefully sooner than later, meantime there are few safe havens other than cash but there are also multiple opportunities to buy things that are already way below a reasonable valuation and then wait, sometimes painfully, for some sense to return to the markets

the main concern i have right now is that we are still in the middle of the summer so it may be harder to build much of a rally until we get to sept or oct, at this point i'd be happy just to see the silliness i described above stop, if a stock is trading at 30 times earnings and growing at 10% then it probably does deserve to be pushed down a bit depending on its franchise and such but it's crazy for a company trading at 10 times earnings and growing at 15% to suffer the same fate just in sympathy with the overall market

today's positive earnings du jour: RACN
